There is something almost tidal about the meeting of pale aquamarine and luminous pearl: blue water, silvered light, and the soft white curl of foam along the shore.
The Silver Tide Necklace pairs substantial 20mm square aquamarines with broad freshwater baroque pearls, allowing both materials to retain the irregularities that make them so compelling. The aquamarines are softly translucent and clouded rather than glass-clear, with natural veils and inclusions moving through their pale blue surfaces. Their generous square cut gives the stone a distinctly architectural presence while preserving its quiet, watery color.
Between them, 15mm x 20mm freshwater baroque pearls bring a completely different kind of light. Their softly irregular rectangular forms ripple with nacre, shifting through silver-white, pale blue, lavender, and the faintest blush as they move. Small sterling silver beads punctuate the strand without competing with either material, creating tiny points of cool metallic light.
At approximately 18 inches, the necklace sits close enough to the face for the aquamarine and pearl to illuminate the neckline, while a 1.5-inch sterling silver extender allows the length to be adjusted. A sterling silver purity tag completes the piece.
Silver Tide is a study in two materials shaped by very different worlds: one formed within the earth, the other within living water. Together, they evoke the shifting colors of the sea as water, foam, and reflected light move endlessly into one another.
