Every Piece Begins with Curiosity

I've never been content simply knowing that something is beautiful.

I've always wanted to know why.

As a little girl, I spent countless hours paging through books about ancient Egypt and Greece. I was captivated by the jewelry worn by queens, priestesses, rulers, and gods. The intricate goldwork, carved gemstones, and symbolic motifs felt like tiny pieces of history that had somehow survived the centuries.

I dreamed of wearing jewelry like that someday.

Eventually, I realized there was only one way to do it.

I would have to learn to make it myself.

That simple realization set me on a lifelong path of curiosity and craftsmanship.

One question led to another. Ancient jewelry led to archaeology. Archaeology led to gemstones. Gemstones led to geology. History intertwined with mythology, botany, and the natural world until I realized they were never truly separate subjects at all. Each discovery opened the door to another, and before long I wasn't simply creating jewelry. I was creating tangible reminders of the remarkable stories that had inspired me along the way.

Today, I still feel that same excitement each time an idea becomes something I can hold in my hands. The difference is that now, instead of dreaming about the jewelry in those books, I have the privilege of creating it.

Every piece I make begins with that same sense of curiosity.

Sometimes inspiration arrives through a centuries-old artifact. Sometimes it begins with a remarkable gemstone, a wildflower growing beside a trail, or a shell polished smooth by the Pacific Ocean. Every collection is an invitation to slow down, look a little closer, and discover the extraordinary beauty hidden within the world around us.

My hope is that each piece becomes more than something beautiful to wear.

I hope it becomes the beginning of a story you'll carry with you, and perhaps even the spark that inspires a new fascination of your own.

Made by One Pair of Hands

Every piece of Larsen Jewelry is imagined, designed, handcrafted, photographed, packaged, and shipped by me from my studio at the foot of Pikes Peak in Colorado.

From the first idea to the final polish, every step remains in my hands.

I do not outsource production or send my designs elsewhere to be manufactured. Every necklace, bracelet, and pair of earrings is made here in the United States, one piece at a time, by one artist in one studio.

Natural gemstones and pearls are full of individual character, and I believe handmade jewelry should honor that individuality rather than erase it. Most Larsen Jewelry designs are one of a kind or created in very small batches, allowing each piece to retain the marks of its materials, its inspiration, and the hands that shaped it.

Every piece you see here was imagined, handcrafted, and carefully finished beneath the silhouette of Pikes Peak.
