Handcrafted Jewelry for Places of Discovery

Larsen Jewelry creates small-batch and one-of-a-kind jewelry inspired by history, nature, and the enduring beauty of the Earth.

Every piece is handcrafted in my Colorado Springs studio using carefully selected natural gemstones, freshwater pearls, sterling and fine silver, solid 14kt gold, gold-filled metals, and other thoughtfully chosen materials. Many designs begin with a story: an ancient artifact, a remarkable gemstone, a landscape, or some small corner of the natural world worth looking at more closely.

I welcome partnerships with museums, galleries, historic sites, botanical gardens, cultural institutions, boutiques, and other thoughtfully curated retailers whose visitors value craftsmanship, curiosity, beautiful materials, and objects with stories to tell.

Made for Places of Discovery

I believe the best museum and cultural retail extends the experience of a place rather than simply marking the visit.

For that reason, many Larsen Jewelry collections are developed around subjects visitors may already be encountering through exhibitions, collections, landscapes, and cultural history.

The Ancient Civilizations Collection, for example, explores the materials, colors, and visual language of the ancient world through natural lapis lazuli, turquoise, carnelian, jade, pearls, sterling silver, gold-filled metals, and other carefully selected materials.

Other pieces draw from geology, botanical forms, the natural world, traditional metalsmithing techniques, and the extraordinary materials people have treasured across centuries and cultures.

Each is intended to offer something beautiful in its own right, with a deeper story waiting for anyone curious enough to follow it.

Jewelry With a Story Beyond the Object

Larsen Jewelry is also home to an evolving Museum, where visitors can explore the history, archaeology, geology, craftsmanship, and conservation behind the materials and ideas found throughout the Gallery.

A lapis lazuli necklace can lead to the mountains where the stone was mined thousands of years ago.

A pearl can open a conversation about how an organic gemstone forms and why it requires different care from harder stones.

A piece inspired by ancient Egypt can lead into a painted royal tomb, the meaning of color, or the surprising history of silver and gold.

These connections allow selected pieces and collections to complement museum and cultural retail environments naturally, while giving visitors an opportunity to continue exploring long after they leave.

Made by One Pair of Hands

Larsen Jewelry is an independent, woman-owned studio, and every piece passes through my hands.

Depending on the design, that may include selecting and arranging individual gemstones, sawing and forming metal, soldering, reticulating silver, creating botanical impressions with a rolling mill, dapping, wire wrapping, stone setting, finishing, and polishing.

Small variations are not defects to be engineered away. They are part of the character of work made by hand and of natural materials that were never identical to begin with.

Some designs are truly one of a kind. Others can be produced in carefully limited quantities for retail partners while retaining the material variation and handwork that make each piece individual.

Designed for Thoughtful Retail

Wholesale selections can be curated around the needs, visitors, collections, and subject matter of an individual institution or retailer.

Available work includes one-of-a-kind pieces, small-batch designs, coordinated jewelry families, and collections suitable for merchandising together across necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and other forms.

For museum and cultural partners in particular, I welcome conversations about selecting or developing pieces that complement an institution's collections, exhibitions, region, or educational mission.

Custom & Exclusive Collections

Some collections are inspired by history. Others begin with a conversation.

Larsen Jewelry welcomes opportunities to create exclusive capsule collections for galleries, boutiques, and museum shops seeking something uniquely their own.

Whether inspired by a particular color palette, historic period, natural landscape, exhibition, or seasonal theme, custom collections are thoughtfully developed to reflect the character of each retail partner while remaining true to the Larsen Jewelry aesthetic.

One-of-a-Kind Collectibles

Natural gemstones are wonderfully individual.

Exceptional stones, unusual pearls, vintage elements, and limited materials sometimes become singular pieces that cannot be precisely reproduced. These one-of-a-kind works offer retail partners an opportunity to carry jewelry that visitors may encounter only once.

When they're gone, their stories continue with the people who take them home.
