Forged entirely by hand from solid sterling silver, Leaf in Light is a one-of-a-kind fold-formed pendant shaped through repeated cycles of folding, hammering, annealing, opening, and refining.
The central fold becomes the leaf’s spine, while carefully directed hammer blows stretch and move the surrounding silver into a long, graceful curve. The surface retains the marks of that process on both front and back, creating a shifting pattern of bright reflections, softened planes, and fine linear texture that changes as the pendant moves.
At approximately 2.5 inches long, the piece has a strong sculptural presence without feeling heavy. Its asymmetry and slight variations are intrinsic to the fold-forming process, ensuring that this leaf could never be reproduced exactly.
